Grendel was the BYU senior film project from 2017-2018. I worked among a team of students to create this short film. As a member of the animation team, I assisted on previz, met semi-weekly for Dailies, and animated shots throughout the film.

 

Our goal was to elevate the character animation to a level BYU films had not yet reached. In order to do this, we worked hard, putting in hours after classes and work and on weekends, and production extended well beyond the initial estimated completion date. It was a challenge to keep pushing for so long, but we did, and we are proud of the results.
